I was looking at a friend's sears model 200 12 gauge pump shotgun recently and discussing who made this gun for sears to market.the discussion went to when the gun was manufactured. It was produced by winchester to be sold in sears, roebuck and company stores as their store. Sears eliminated the ted williams line in 1978 and stopped all firearm sales in 1980.
The other is the winchester model 1200.
Higgins trade name was used by sears, roebuck & company of chicago from 1946 to 1962 on firearms and other sporting goods. Winchester intro'ed the model 1200 in late 1964, but most didn't hit the shelves until 1965. The gun was made by winchester for sears, and is based upon the winchester 1200. The win 1200 was made from 1964 to 1981, but iirc sears.
The model 200 pump is a derivative of the model 20 as were all the other 12 gauge pump guns. These are serviceable pump shotguns and are good shooters. The 583.59 is probably too early for an assembly date. The sears 200 was made by winchester for sears based on their model 1200, from it's 1964 introduction until sears stopped carrying firearms in 1973.

That is a model number, not a. Sears sold guns made by the following manufactures. Higgins sporting goods line, replacing it in. Winchester model 1400 are sears model 300.
But it was never in production when the model 20 was in production. Winchester model 1200 are sears model 200. One is a mossberg g4. Can you please help me find a date of manufacture?

I used to own a 12g ted williams m200 with a variable choke on it.
It is stamped made in usa and no 273.515020. it. Yes, many collectors seek out vintage sears and roebuck firearms for their historical significance and unique designs. The ted williams model 200 shotgun is essentially an alternate winchester 1200. The id # is 273.2310 and the serial # is 73674.
There is an individual who could identify the date and month of these ted. High standard manuals for the model 200 are from the late 1960's well past the time of the sears model 20 variations.
