Bergara B14r Problems Accuracy Sniper's Hide Forum
I bought a b14 bmp back in 2018 and the bolt shroud has failed. For now, i have it in an xlr element 3.0 chassis that i am using for my centerfire match rifle. The bergara b14r is a remington 700 platform, and i’ve got to say, it’s a great foundation for a precision rifle.

We found 2 major things that needed attention. They were also very shiny from the mag recoil. My first bergara i purchased 3rd hand from jerryp right here on the forum.
They are supposed to be noted for accuracy, but i sure never.
I sent the photos and he said the shroud. Please do not follow the persons on snipers hide and his cure for the issues. I waited almost a year to buy a bergara because of post about ejection problems. It is an 18” hmr.
The bedding pillars had a very small contact patch with the action. Some folks report excellent accuracy and others get mediocre accuracy. I called up bergara and the rep seemed uninterested and said to send him photos. Feel like i’m at a point where any more upward.

After going through the usual suspects (cleaning, rail, rings, scope, action screw torque), i found a post about overpainting on the inside of the stock in a bergara forum.
This has been an issue with the b14r since they arrived in the states. If you do all this garbage. I keep tweaking that adjustment on the release lever. I took a few shots to bore sight the scope at 50.
The first few range trips i was having a lot of failures to eject.
